Economist at the IMF Research Department

Andrea F. Presbitero is an Economist at the IMF Research Department. Before joining the Fund, he was Assistant Professor at the Universita' Politecnica delle Marche (Italy) and served as a consultant for the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, UNCTAD, and the IMF on a number of projects. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed international journals on financial intermediation, development economics, and fiscal policy. He is Associate Editor of the Journal of Financial Stability and Economia (LACEA).


Andrea F. Presbitero est économiste au Département de recherche du FMI. Avant de rejoindre le FMI, il a été professeur adjoint à l’Université Politecnica delle Marche (Italie) et consultant à la Banque mondiale, la Banque interaméricaine de développement, la CNUCED et le FMI dans le cadre de certains projets. Il a publié de nombreux articles dans des revues internationales spécialisées dans les domaines de l’intermédiation financière, l’économie de développement et la politique fiscale. Il est rédacteur adjoint des revues Journal of Financial Stability et Economia (LACEA).


Andrea F. Presbitero es economista en el Departamento de Investigación del FMI. Antes de unirse al Fondo, fue profesor adjunto en la Universidad Politécnica delle Marché (Italia) y se desempeñó como consultor para el Banco Mundial, el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo, la UNCTAD y el FMI en varios proyectos. Ha publicado numerosos artículos en revistas internacionales revisadas por expertos sobre intermediación financiera, economía del desarrollo y política fiscal. Es Editor Asociado de la Revista de Estabilidad Financiera y Economía (LACEA).
